Evgeni Plushenko:
For me will be incredibly difficult to skate after a long break, but I hope to be able to cope with emotions
"I will be very pleased to take part in championship of Russia. I did not perform so long, and I'm very glad that my first performance will take place here in Saransk. Of course, for me will be incredibly difficult to skate after a long break, but I hope to be able to cope with emotions, with a certain psychological barrier. For me, the main thing right now is - just to skate, reach the programs to the finals, perform all of the elements. Six months ago I had surgery on my knee, now I feel much better, but some post-operative problems is still there. I think everything is still to come, because my plans for the future - to skate another two years before the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. I thank the Federation of figure skating. Now its support and assistance is great. I know my level, but today it is still not reached, because there was operation and then injections into the knee. But still I am happy with my form. It would be desirable, of course, do a quadruple jump and just skate my programs cleanly without any errors. But it will be competitions in which will the best man win. It is necessary to do my job, I'm ready to compete with rivals.
Artur (Gachinsky) is a good guy. There are skaters - great athletes, but with them you can not communicate, they are evil, envious, even trying to compete in life. I do not see with Artur this problem. We communicate very well, playing football, paintball. We may not be friends, but comrades. I believe that Artur - a promising athlete, a rising star, a future champion. Before him is the future. I constantly train together with Artur, he does have three quads - Toeloop, Salchow and Rittberger, sometimes and Flip and Lutz. I am happy to chase with the young people, to catch up with them. In many positions I already yield, but I try not to give up. Artur - a wonderful person and competitor. I'm lucky - there is someone, to whom I can to equate. Artur's zeal in training reminds me of myself in my youth."
